A one-month technical engagement with STP Prep.

STP Prep sells practice for the NHS Scientist Training Programme’s situational judgement test. Our technical audit found four weak signals: who writes the questions, when the page last changed, what the product is called and what it sells.

This study covers the audit and our advice. It reports no traffic, ranking or AI answer results.

The audit

Trust, freshness, brand and schema all scored 54 or lower.

Large test-prep publishers and the official NHS guidance already cover the STP’s situational judgement test. A newer site needs facts that search engines and AI tools can read and check.

The advice

What we told them to change.

On the site

  1. Use the name STP Prep in the page text, title and schema.
  2. Add Product and Offer schema for the £24.99 package.
  3. Add dateModified, a Last-Modified header and named authors.

Off the site

  1. Collect reviews from real applicants on an independent review site.
  2. Get mentioned where applicants research the STP, such as university careers pages.
  3. Use the same name, description and price on every listing.

On social

  1. Create STP Prep profiles on the platforms applicants use.
  2. Link each profile from the site and from the Organization’s sameAs.

Questions

About this audit.

What is STP Prep?

STP Prep (stpprep.co.uk) is an independent practice platform for the situational judgement test (SJT) in the NHS Scientist Training Programme (STP). It sells more than 300 practice questions and three timed mock exams for £24.99, with access until February 20, 2027. Applicants can try three scenarios for free. It is not affiliated with the NHS.

How competitive is the market for STP SJT practice?

Crowded. Large test-prep publishers sell STP SJT practice, independent authors sell guides, and the National School of Healthcare Science publishes free guidance and sample questions. A newer site has to show who is behind it, what it sells and when it last changed, in a form that search engines and AI tools can read.

Why do these scores matter for AI search?

Each check looks at facts that search engines and AI tools read: who is behind a page, when it changed, what the business is called and what it sells. In our experience, AI answers lean on sources whose facts are clear and match across sites. No single fix guarantees a citation, and AI answers change often.

Did the changes improve STP Prep’s results?

We have not measured that. This study covers the audit and our advice. It reports no traffic, ranking, sales or AI answer results, and it does not claim that any one fix will change them.
